Whidbey Island Artist

Whidbey Island’s award winning impressionistic artist, Mike Wise, is definitely a source of pride for those who appreciate fine art in Washington. Mike is now showing in art circles all over the country. He was noted as an “Emerging Artist” in Southwest Art Magazine, January, 2015.

These wonderful pieces would enhance any collection or décor.  We would be happy to place one or more of these pieces to meet your needs.

Here are samples of some of our favorites from Mike Wise Studios.  While most are on the Island, some are in the surrounding areas.

Here are a few that are sold (red dot) but favorites nevertheless.

Custom Chairs, Napoleon Apartments, The Louvre

The pictured chairs are in the Louvre in Paris in the Napoleon Apartments. These chairs feature a custom back treatment. This upholstery design could be adapted to contemporary design and provide what looks to be a comfortable chair for multi-purposes.  With a little imagination, there are lots of possibilities for styles to be adapted such as traditional, transitional, or more modern approaches.  Purposes are that of any side chair such as dining chairs, guest chairs, conference chairs, and so on.

Custom Wagon Wheel Coffee Table for the Wine Country

Designed and crafted in the 1950’s, this table is as beautiful, functional, and appropriate as it was at its inception. It is in a rustic ranch home in the Sonoma Wine Country. The mosaics depict different designs artistically displayed in local stones and shells from holiday .  If you look carefully, you may see initials of the artist and her husband.  It is absolutely one-of-kind and very special.

Wandering the streets of Paris once again.

Here’s another find from the wonderful windows in the 6th arrondissement in Paris.  This time it’s an interesting sofa design in a contemporary style.  It’s possible that this is a custom furniture piece.  It has lots of potential perhaps done in contrasting fabrics, a print, solid, or a subtle neutral as shown.
